Classes
A world of story, play, and gentle wonder — where every moment helps your child bloom.
We run weekly baby and toddler classes across North and East London — intimate, story-led sessions that weave together puppetry, music, movement, and imagination into something children feel long after they’ve gone home.
Every session follows a warm, reassuring structure — familiar enough to feel safe, magical enough to feel new every week. Whether your little one dives straight into the middle of the action or takes it all in quietly from the side, there is a place for them here. There is no wrong way to be at Little Boo Stories.
Our classes are rooted in Drama and Movement Therapy and grounded in child development — supporting language, early literacy, developmental movement, and emotional and social wellbeing. But it never feels like learning. It feels like the best morning of the week.
Classes run weekly across:
Highbury · Crouch End · East Village · Highgate · Walthamstow · Walthamstow Village

Step into a world of story, movement, and sensory play. Each Mini Boo session weaves developmental movement, songs, rhythms, bubbles, puppets, and games into a theatrical story — creating an immersive experience full of laughter and wonder.
MINI BOO STORIES — 6 to 18 months A space to explore.
Before the session even begins, props are out and music is playing — so little ones have something to discover the moment they arrive. And yes, there are always bubbles.
Each Mini Boo session follows a warm, reassuring structure. We open with Tell Me the Story, our signature song that introduces the story of the week. Every baby receives their own prop bag — shaking shakers, playing peekaboo with scarves, finding the puppets they'll be meeting in the story. Grown-ups are encouraged to play alongside their little ones, but if a baby wants to crawl off and explore independently, take centre stage, climb into a box, or make a grab for the facilitator's puppets — that's absolutely fine. Anything can happen and everything is welcome
.
Everything is floor-based and on the babies' level. Once the big book opens on 3, 2, 1, the story begins — and our facilitator weaves each baby into it wherever they are, however they're moving. Snuggled with their grown-up, on the move, or even climbing up the facilitator. No child is ever left out. There is no wrong way to be here.
Developmental movement runs naturally through every moment — reaching, rolling, stretching, and exploring, all held within the warmth of the story. Songs, rhythm, puppets, and play build language, communication, and early literacy without it ever feeling like learning.
Then there's the parachute. Each week it becomes something different — babies sitting on top feeling the gentle bounce; reaching up for the ribbons of the star ribbon parachute; or lying underneath a white parachute, gazing up at the shadow of a puppet moving above.
Even the bubbles that return towards the end are story-related. Everything connects back to the story. Nothing is just for show.
We close with a big yawn, a sleep under the twinkling stars, and one final sing of Tell Me the Story. Then it's tidy-up time — every baby is part of it, whether they're placing puppets carefully in the box and saying good bye to them and then taking them straight out again. All of it is learning.
Mini Boo sessions nurture the relationship between baby and grown-up — playing together, playing independently, and discovering the world side by side. Stories felt as much as told.

A class where children don’t just listen to the story — they become part of it. With puppets that pop up to say hello, bubbles dancing through the air, and songs and actions to join in with, each story unfolds in a way that captures little imaginations completely.
BOO STORY — 18 months to 4 years A space to imagine.
Before the session begins, props are out and music is playing — so little ones have something to explore the moment they arrive. And yes, there are always bubbles.
Each Boo Story session follows a strong, reassuring structure. We open with Tell Me the Story, our signature song that introduces the story of the week. Every child receives their own prop bag, full of puppets to discover. Together we warm up — body, voice, and imagination — exploring the props and instruments from the story, finding out what they can do and what sounds they make.
Then the big book comes out. We open it on 3, 2, 1 — and the story begins. But this isn't a sit-and-watch story. Throughout, there are songs, movement, and puppets to explore, touch, and play with. Children can join in from their seat with their own puppets, take part in the story with the group, or simply watch and take it all in from the side. Some children will be right in the middle of the action. Others will observe quietly, absorbing every moment. Both are equally right. There is no wrong way to be here.
Along the way, children are learning — colours, language, animals, names — all woven naturally into the story as it unfolds.
Then there's the parachute. Each week it becomes something entirely different — a farmer's bed, a sky full of stars glimpsed from underneath, the wings of a parrot. And when the bubbles return, they belong to the story too — the bubbles in a frog pond, the rumble of a tummy. Everything has a reason. Nothing is just for show.
We close with a big yawn, a sleep under the twinkling stars, and one final sing of Tell Me the Story. Then it's tidy-up time — and children love helping sort the puppets back into their boxes, learning names, colours, and the quiet satisfaction of putting things away together.
Every song, every puppet, every moment of play is held together by the story. Building language, literacy, movement, and imagination. Nurturing emotional and social wellbeing. Wrapped in so much joy it feels like the best morning of the week.
Stories felt as much as told.

Little Boo Classes
FAQ
What classes do you offer and what ages are they for?
We offer four classes: Baby Boo (0–6 months, baby massage and sensory), Mini Boo (6–18 months, sensory theatre), Boo Story (18 months–4 years, interactive storytelling), and Boo Balance (2–4 years, children’s yoga). Each class is carefully designed for that specific developmental stage.
What happens in a typical session?
Every session weaves together story, movement, song, and sensory play into a gentle theatrical experience. You might encounter puppets, bubbles, big books, rhythm instruments, and textures — all in service of a story your child lives inside rather than just watches. Sessions run for approximately 45 minutes and are designed to be pressure-free and joyful.
Do I stay with my child during classes?
Yes — all our baby and toddler classes are parent-and-child sessions. Grown-ups are an essential part of the experience, and we design each session to strengthen your connection as well as your child’s development.
My child is shy — will they be okay?
Absolutely. There is no right or wrong way to participate in a Little Boo Stories session. Some children dive straight in; others prefer to watch and warm up gradually. Our practitioners are trained to gently invite rather than direct, and every child is welcomed exactly as they are.
Where are classes held?
We run regular sessions across North and East London — currently including Crouch End, Highgate, Highbury, Walthamstow, Leyton, and East Village. Check our booking page for the current timetable and nearest venue.
How do I book?
All regular classes can be booked through Happity. You can find our full timetable and available spaces there — just search Little Boo Stories.

“We LOVE this class. We’ve been going for nearly a year, since my son was 8 months. There’s an opportunity for every child to be involved in whichever way they like, through dancing, playing with the puppets and props, or even just sitting and observing great performance - which is usually what mine tends to enjoy the most. We’ve also been able to make some great friends in this class, and look forward to going each week!"
