Meet The Team
Amanda trained in Musical Theatre at Mountview Theatre school and has worked as an actress for the last 20 years. Her theatre career has seen her perform numerous times in London's West end and she has been in shows including The Lion King, Avenue Q, and most recently The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Amanda has been lucky enough to perform and teach all over the world but since having her son has decided to stay closer to home.
Amanda is excited to share all her experience of performance and puppetry and is looking forward to collaborating with Becky in Ameki theatre.
Becky trained at Mountview Theatre school where she developed her love of storytelling, movement and Drama. After her training, Rebecca set up Drama groups for children with special needs and witnessed the profound effects Drama and storytelling can have.
Becky then completed her MA in
Dramatherapy at Central School of Speech and Drama and specialised in working in educational settings working psychologically with children. In this time she was lucky enough to work with PIP Theatre company, a group of young adults with learning disabilities and autism where her role was to facilitate, direct, and develop several pieces of theatre performed in venues around London, including the Gate theatre.
When on maternity leave Becky, founded Amelia Boo Stories which has successfully run for 9 years but has always wanted to incorporate her love of theatre, puppetry and performance and has now joined forces with Amanda to create Ameki Theatre.
